Why Our Students Love AFNORTH ES!

AFNORTH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
End of Year Lunch Account Reminders

  • For students that are NOT leaving AFNORTH International School and that will return for the school year 2026/2027:
You do not have to do anything, your lunch account/lunch cards will remain intact and the balance on the lunch cards can be used in the new school year. The lunch cards for the elementary section students will be taken to their new classrooms.
The lunch cards for ES students that proceed to middle school will be handed out to them at the beginning of the school year by their national office.

  • For students that are leaving at the end of school year 2025/2026:
Please find the procedure to close the lunch account here:
    https://afnorth-is.com/catering-school-leavers/

  • Important Note:
Make sure to make an appointment to close your lunch account BEFORE June 17th, as the Sodexo personnel will not be able to pay out the cash balance on your lunch account after this date. We also ask you to make sure that there is a low balance on your lunch account at the end of the school year.

  • Questions about your lunch account:

Reminders

Transportation Changes

If your child will be absent or requires a transportation change, please send an email to afno.attendance@dodea.edu & the homeroom teacher.
Changes must be sent by 12PM daily.
In the subject line, please include the child's full name and specify ES or MS/HS.
In the email, please include the following:
Student's full name (no nicknames please)
Date of absence(s) / transportation change
Reason for the absence (attendance emails only)

Lunch Account Balance

The email reminders regarding low balance lunch funds are not automatically generated.

The email is a courtesy sent by our office staff. While we try our very best to notify parents right away, it is the parent’s responsibility to check the lunch account funds.

School Visit Procedures

Please check in at the front office when volunteering for the school or dropping off belongings for your child.

All classroom visits require an appointment with the teacher.

Arrival and Dismissal

All students may enter the school campus as early as 8:40 am.
Drop off before this time is not permitted as supervision is not provided.
Please note that students may not be sent to the office at dismissal to wait for their parents due to appointments or meetings. We kindly ask that you make the proper arrangements for your children.
Thank you for your support to ensure the safety of our students.
